Sir Lord Baltimore, a waste of 180Gram vinyl?
OK, I've been known to put on "Women Tamer" as the 4:30AM "Party Room Clearer" and it's been very effective. The morning after one horrible show where my band drowned our collective sorrows in horrendous amounts of the usual substances, the only way I could face the day was to scream, "Get me my Vitamin B!" and when my girlfriend brought a handful of REAL vitamins I screamed, "No!! Vitamin BOURBON!!!" the bottle of which came abruptly. After a few hefty swigs that livened me up but kept my mood dark I went to the living room and blasted "Woman Tamer" to which my girlfriend who, unbeknownst to me was tripping on acid wailed, "I'm sorry I EVER heard of these guys!". The day got much better after my bit of "Schadenfreude";-}. Having said that I've treasured these albums and still have my original LPs. You haven't lived until you've been pummeled by ditties like; ""Master Heartache", "Kingdom Come", "Lady of Fire", "Caesar LXXI" and the above mentioned "Just when you thought it couldn't get any slower!" pain inducer. When I found out both albums had been re-issued as "Audiophile" pressings I said, "What a waste of good vinyl, ugh" and immediately went right down to my local record store and bought them both. Essential for fans of "Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep and a host of your favorite heavy Brit blues bands not coming around any time soon?" Oh, the drummer is the lead singer!
Magma has returned!
Yikes! I can't believe Christian Vander is back in the road. This is a "Rot-Alarm" Mein Klang-Festers! If anyone has doubts about Vander's contributions go find anything from "Udu Wudu". Get It, You Won't Regret It....
